Streamline Movie Review-Available Now (Route 504 PR)

When we are younger we all think that we have it all figured out and can do just about anything and when others tell us otherwise, we lash out. That is a tale so many of us have to share later in life but for now, Benjamin is really at the top of his game as a swimmer and is possibly heading to be part of the Australian swimming team to compete in the Olympics, quite a feat for 15 years of age!

This is so much more than just a movie about swimming as we soon find out, a lot of the better sports films that have been made are more about the human struggle, with the sport as the filler.

He is being pushed by his coach, mom, and girlfriend to be the best swimmer so he can make the team, but he and his mother are told by doctors that he is burnt out and needs a few weeks to rest.

His mother continues to push him a few weeks later, which then escalates and she kicks him out of the house to stay with his brothers.

In the days that follow he has started to smoke, drink and even drive his older brother's truck, after drinking. He gets into a fight at school and tells a teacher to expel him when he threatens to take him to see the pricipal.

There is the family dynamic of the father is being released from jail earlier in the film, it seems that he was abusive to everyone in the house and even shows up at one of Benjamins swims and it throws his concentration off, and everything kind of spirals out of control for the young man.

Levi Miller(above, shirtless) is really great here as Benjamin and can really feel his stress and frustration, to the point of breaking down and that is ultimately what happens, after all, he's only human, not a machine as he has been treated through most of the film.

This is a really good film, check out the trailer below.
