The Long Night Movie Review-Well Go USA Available Now on Shudder

Grace(Scout Taylor-Compton)& Jack(Nolan Gerard Funk) are getting ready for their long drive to search for Grace's parents, but first, the surprise Jack has for Grace, as he wants her to meet his parents, thrilled at the idea they start their trip.

After the brief visit with the parents, which we never observe how well or poorly it went, it clearly did not go very well from the conversation when they stop for gas. They start to their destination of Grace's search for her parents she has never known.

Upon arriving at the home in which they are invited to stay at, Grace was told where the key for the front door is if the owner is not there.

They are not familiar with the new surroundings and something starts to happen quite quickly that is startling for the young couple.

There is a good jump scare when they are getting acquainted with their surroundings, the things that are going to happen throughout this long evening are going to test even the toughest people. Jack thinks he's one of those and even has a warning for a local townsperson Wayne(Jeff Fahey) who comes to check on the property and the owner. Jack warns Wayne that he has a black belt and Wayne's reply is "In what, break & enter"?

One of my favorite actors from the early '80s, Jeff Fahey is not given enough time for his character to really develop, but it's not about him -this is about the young couple after all.

As the evening progresses and yes it is indeed a Long Night for this couple as an occult has taken over the front and back yards, making it difficult for them to leave and get to safety.

There is nothing really edgy about the film, overall but there is some good acting in the film, a decent storyline helps too.

If you like this kind of film it is definitely worth checking out.
